Thirsk and Sowerby Harriers.
The Club Summer Handicap, run around a cross-country course, was won by Nigel Morgan with Nicola Thorpe second, Judith Seaton third and Pamela Sherlock in fourth place. Prize giving followed, with prizes for all participants, and a swim and picnic. Activities continue with a training weekend in the Lake District this weekend.
The Codlings entered the Bradford 10K on Sunday, which was won by Tony Duffy of Bolton. Ian was second in the M60 category and Marian was second in the F60 group. There were 264 finishers.
The busy summer season draws to a close and winter training begins in Thirsk School on Club nights, Wednesdays, from 7pm.
