Sunderland fans again called for the departure of manager Peter Reid as the Black Cats crashed to their second 3-0 defeat of the week.
Japanese World Cup star Junichi Inamoto ran the show for Fulham, opening the scoring 11 minutes before the break then setting up second-half goals for Barry Hayles and Steve Marlet.
Sunderland, beaten by the same scoreline at Middlesbrough on Tuesday night, fell behind when Rufus Brevett crossed from the left and Hayles headed on for Inamoto to neatly bring the ball down before finishing with an angled shot.
The goal came against the run of play but Fulham capitalised when they extended their lead in the 54th minute.
Sunderland keeper Thomas Sorensen, guilty of a blunder which cost a goal against Boro, was at fault again when he cleared the ball straight to Inamoto.
The midfielder found Hayles who held off the challenge of Stephen Wright to stroke the ball beyond Sorensen.
And Fulham sealed victory in the 78th minute when Inamoto released Marlet who beat Sorensen with a left-footed finish.
