EXTENSIVE damage was caused to furniture in a shop after arsonists set fire to a car outside the store.
Fire crews were called to the loading bay of Moss and Campbell, in Billingham, Teesside, on Sunday, where a car had been set alight.
The fire spread to the furniture store, filling the warehouse with thick smoke.
Moss & Campbell owner John Allinson said that everything inside the building was covered in soot and he would be contacting professional cleaners to see if any of the stock could be saved.
He said he had not started to assess in exact figures how much damage had been caused.
