FOLLOWING a second set of auditions and a change to the intended play, a group of actors has found that life really does go on.
Bedale Amateur Dramatic Society is now rehearsing for their next production, "Life Goes On", although there have been a few hitches along the way. The play, by Adrian Hodges, will be staged at Bedale High School from Thursday, November 21 until Saturday, November 23.
The society had to change its choice of play as it was unable to cast its first choice due to lack of younger members. It now wants to encourage youngsters in Bedale to become more involved in drama.
Jill Simpson, spokeswoman for the society, said: "We have a number of plays we would like to present but we do not have members in the right age group.
"The society has a strong core of members who have been involved for a number of years, but we really do need some younger adults to join us so that we can increase our range of productions."
The society will be celebrating its golden jubilee next year and is already making plans. Mrs Simpson would like to hear from past and future members so they can be invited to the society's anniversary.
