SHOW DATES: Benching for the Black Bull pub leek show at Wolsingham starts at 12.30pm next Saturday. There will be a sale of produce at 9pm. The Frosterley Village Hall Leek Show is being held on Saturday and Sunday, September 28 and 29, with benching from 11am to 1pm on the Saturday. HELPING HAND: A coffee morning in aid of the Butterwick Hospice at Bishop Auckland is being held at Stanhope Church Hall on Saturday from 10am to noon. Admission will be 50p.
FOLK CLUB: The next meeting of the Upper Weardale Folk Club will be held at the Ireshopeburn Literary Institute on Saturday, September 28, at 7.30pm.
