YOUNG trampolinists in Hartlepool are jumping for joy after landing a cash windfall from the National Lottery.
High Tunstall School Trampolining Club has been awarded almost £4,000 from the Lottery's Awards for All programme. The money will be used to buy new equipment.
The after-school club operates every Tuesday, but Lesley Shepherd, school sport co-ordinator at High Tunstall, said the money will enable the club to provide additional sessions in the future.
She said: "We are delighted to receive the lottery grant. For a group like ours it is a large sum of money.
"At the moment, we run a weekly session for girls, but we hope to encourage boys and children with disabilities to the club in the future.
"The money will also enable us to buy a new trampoline and upgrade the existing ones."
