A NEW man has joined the team running the hospitals of Northallerton and Middlesbrough.
David Dobson has been appointed as a non-executive member of South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust.
Mr Dobson, who has lived in Sowerby, Thirsk, for more than 26 years, will take a special interest in the Friarage Hospital, in Northallerton, and is no stranger to the role as he was a non-executive of the old Northallerton Health Services NHS Trust.
From a social services and health care background, he has worked in the public, private and voluntary sectors during his career.
Formerly chairman of the Hambleton and Richmondshire Carers Association, he is about to start a new post with the Easingwold and District Community Care Association.
Mr Dobson also chairs appeals under the Mental Health Act, and is a member of the Northallerton Ethics and Research Committee.
