A CRAZED knifeman stabbed a trainee rabbi at least 20 times on the top deck of a bus, the Old Bailey heard yesterday.
Screaming passengers scrambled to get off as Algerian Nabil Ouldeddine, 28, plunged a kitchen knife into Mayer Myers, 21. The driver desperately radioed for the police and then fled, locking one-legged Ould-eddine on the bus. But the knifeman managed to force the doors open and calmly walked away.
Blood-soaked Mr Myers, of Gateshead, was found slumped on a seat. A surgeon later said they were the worst knife injuries he had ever seen.
Ouldeddine was arrested after a passer-by followed him and gave police a "running commentary" on his mobile, the court heard.
Ouldeddine, of Highbury, London, denies attempted murder on the basis of insanity. He told officers he heard voices telling him to "kill, kill, kill".
The trial continues.
