Billingham Wanderers and visitors Darlington RA were evenly matched, with the visitors going close through Peter Gormley early in the first half. Three minutes into the second-half Lee Thompson gave the home side the lead when he lobbed the advancing keeper. Three minutes later Bint finally got on the score sheet when he slid the ball home from just inside the area to make it 2-0. John Cairns then shot wide when well placed to increase the Billingham lead and three minutes later a dubious penalty was awarded from which Steve Appleby pulled it back to 2-1 and with only three minutes a corner at the Darlington end was cleared and Peter Gormley followed up to hammer the ball home from 25 yards to grab a share of the spoils.

Dorman took a 2-0 lead, Darren Rothwell and Carl Brunskill scored within the first 20 minutes. Cleveland Bridge pulled a goal back from a Phil Sheridan penalty, but Rothwell scored again to make it 3-1 before Wayne Buckley replied. In the second-half Dormans proved to be the stronger side and Rothwell completed his hat-trick with Brunskill adding two further goals to secure his hat-trick and a 6-2 win to move into third in the table.
