NEWLY-PROMOTED Broompark Loves continued their winning start to the season with a 6-1 win over The Grand last week.
Loves completed their third straight league victory, to jump up to third in Division One.
Two goals by Ben Roffe and one each from Mark Frost, Damien Brennan and Terry Nelson gave them a 5-0 half-time lead.
And despite the Grand pulling one back after the break, Brennan grabbed Loves' sixth to complete the win.
"I thought we played very well," said Loves' joint-manager Bill Wilkinson. "We took a comfortable lead by half-time and took our foot off the pedal. We probably should have scored more goals.
"But we're delighted with our start to the season up to now. We play Lakeside this week, who should give us an even better idea of how far we have progressed."
Elsewhere, Newton Aycliffe went to the top of the First Division with a 6-1 win over Brandon.
Lakeside - fixtureless last week - had led on 12 points, but Aycliffe - now with a game in hand - are top on goal difference.
Strikers Russell Mercer and Dave Muir bagged five between them - Mercer a trick and Muir a brace - with midfielder Mark Armstrong also netting.
"It was a hard game for us," said Aycliffe assistant manager Craig Murray. "They really tested us, but then we grabbed two goals just before the break. I think we played some nice football in the second half and fully deserved the win."
Spennymoor Thorns - last year's Division Two champions - also continued their fine season with a 4-0 win over Binchester Social Club - Mark Russell, Norman Liddle, Tommy Parkin and Julian Jordan scoring the goals.
Eldon Lane and Salvins played out a 1-1 draw - Michael Davidson scoring for Eldon and John Bulmer for Salvins.
In Division Two, Postchaise jumped to pole position after leaders Brawns Den were held to a 5-5 draw by Binchester Social Club.
Postchaise beat the in-form Eldon Arms 4-0 with goals by Paul Weldon (2), Phil Dowd and Paul Gargett.
Elsewhere, Two Blues beat Cumby Arms 2-1, with Timmy Hutchinson and Mark Smith grabbing the goals. John Airey netted Cumby's only goal.
North Briton drew 3-3 with Shildon Athletic.
Chris Airey, Paul Middleton and David Tedder all scored for the Brit, with Adam Potter (2) and Darren Dodds scoring for Athletic.
Victoria beat Green Tree 2-1 thanks to goals by Martin Longthorne and Adam Cunningham, with Darren Rutter scoring Tree's goal, while Horndale beat Masons United 3-1 with strikes by Adrian Gough (2) and Wayne Pratt. David Maughan scored for United.
The League would like to thank all clubs for immaculately observing a minute's silence last Sunday, in memory of well respected League official Stephen Riley, who tragically and suddenly died recently.
