NEW students at Redcar and Cleveland College enjoyed a day at the Hollywood Bowl to start the new term.
Full time A-Level students and students studying Early Years and Health Care courses were invited to the Teesside Park bowling centre recently for a team building exercise.
A spokesman said the afternoon was intended to break down barriers and initial nerves to improve student to student as well as student to staff relationships.
She added that the college environment promotes a more relaxed atmosphere than experienced at school.
Alan Old, principal at Redcar and Cleveland College, said: "Our induction afternoon at the Hollywood Bowl provided a relaxed environment for students to forge friendships with a range of people from diverse backgrounds and studying different courses.
"I believe that if students are happy at college, they are more likely to be productive and successful."
