THREE of the longest-serving staff members at Debenhams in Stockton have been commended for their long service.
Barbara Hook, Mille Gibson, and Amanda Crawford were given long service awards after working for the company for 35 years, 20 years and 15 years respectively.
During a surprise presentation at the store, all three were awarded certificates, a bouquet of flowers and gift vouchers.
Mrs Hook joined the store, when it was called Robinson and Co, as a junior clerk when she was 16.
She is now a full-time member of the customer services team.
She said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed working here at the store and with the general public. I have made some great friends and I hope to continue to do so for some time."
Mrs Gibson started in fashions and is now a member of the womenswear team.
Mrs Crawford joined the company on a YTS scheme, became a senior clerical assistant, and is now supervisor of the cosmetic department.
Store manager Neil Carter said: "Barbara, Mille and Amanda are three valuable members of staff and are an asset to our team here in Stockton.
"It is great to be able to give them something back for their hard work."
