A CITY restaurant has once more been awarded an accolade by one of the country's leading motoring organisations.
Knights Restaurant, part of the Kingslodge Hotel in Waddington Street, Durham City, has been given two rosettes in the AA Restaurant Guide for 2003, the same rating which it achieved in the the previous edition of the guide.
David Young, AA chief hotel and restaurant inspector, said inspectors visited many establishments that did not meet the required standards for awards.
He said: "Restaurants that have been awarded AA rosettes are among the best in the country.''
Hotel general manager Roger Crozier said: "This is a tremendous achievement for the hotel and a reflection on the staff for all their hard work. Being the only restaurant in Durham City to be awarded this prestigious accolade confirms Knights Restaurant as one of the finest dining experiences in the region.
