AN application to build six workshops at an industrial estate in Barnard Castle will go before councillors this week.
Members of Teesdale District Council's development control south committee will decide on Wednesday whether to give the plans the go-ahead for the workshops at Harmire Enterprise Park.
The proposal is to create six workshops in one building at the industrial estate, which will be similar in design to existing units already at the site.
The workshops will each be approximately 50 square metres and will be built on land currently undeveloped on the estate.
In March this year the council approved an application to build five small offices on undeveloped land at Harmire Enterprise Park, and in the past few years there have been numerous applications for single units.
Planning officers will recommend that members approve the application during the meeting at Teesdale House, in Galgate, Barnard Castle.
