NORTH-East youngsters will present a book of children's aspirations to world finance leaders this week.
Four children from Lingey House Primary School, in Felling, Gateshead, will attend the Commonwealth finance ministers' meeting in London, today.
They will present a Big Book containing drawings and letters - including some of their own - to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown; Bank of England governor Sir Edward George, and Commonwealth finance ministers from India, South Africa, Canada, Australia and the Caribbean.
Depicting the aspirations of children around the world on the theme of what they want to be when they grow up - provided they receive an education - the book has been created as part of Oxfam's Education Now campaign.
The four Gateshead youngsters who will meet Mr Brown, at the Commonwealth Institute, are year six students Glen Iley, Jodie Scott and Kelsie Hays; and Robert Bright, of year five.
