TWO motorcyclists died in accidents over the weekend.
Graham Edward Bawn, from Newlands Road, Carr-ville, Durham, and an unnamed man from the Bedale area of North Yorkshire, both died on Sunday while riding on country roads.
Mr Bawn, 33, had been travelling south on the A689 near Cowshill in Weardale on his 900cc Kawasaki Ninja at 5.10pm on Sunday when he lost control of his motorcycle on a bend and skidded into the path of a Jeep Cherokee. He was certified dead at the scene. The driver of the Jeep was unhurt but shocked.
The second motorcyclist was killed on the A684 at Clough, near Garsdale, Sedbergh, on a 950cc Honda when he was in collision with a Nissan Navara pick-up truck.
