A POPULAR Darlington pub is hoping to stay open later during the week.
Flares, in Skinnergate, has applied to Darlington's licensing justices to extend its opening hours until midnight from Monday to Saturday.
The 70s theme bar has a licence to stay open until midnight on Friday and Saturday nights only.
Manager Steven Moules, has applied for a variation of a special hours certificate.
Darlington Borough Council and Darlington police have been informed.
In November, Flares was refused a public entertainment licence until 2am at weekends after police objections.
Management at Flares have previously withdrawn two applications to extend the opening hours at the venue.
The latest application will be considered on October 16, at 10am, at Darlington Magistrates' Court.
