New Nursery: Rosedene is the new nursery at Healaugh Park, Yarm, (near the Shell roundabout).
The day nursery provides quality childcare for children aged eight weeks to five years. It also provides nursery education on a sessional basis for three and four-year-olds who do not have a school nursery place. musical Trio: The Sempre Trio, a musical trio, are willing to entertain church groups, functions and townswomens' Guilds, etc. The trio consists of a semi-professional soprano, an alto and a pianist. Any questions: Yarm School is celebrating its silver jubilee and on Friday, November 1, as part of these celebrations, the school will be hosting the popular Radio 4 current affairs programme Any Questions? presented by Jonathan Dimbleby. Details of the panel will be announced at a later date.
Ramblers club: The Ramble club section of the Levendale Association hold family walks in the local countryside. The walks, usually about 6 miles, are held every second Sunday in the month. Badminton: Junior and senior badminton sessions are held at the Levendale Primary School, Mount Leven Road, Yarm. For year six primary and secondary school children sessions are held every Thursday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. The cost of a five-week course, with a professional coach, is £12. Floral evening: The next meeting of Worsall WI is a special one. Carl banks will demonstrate flower arranging and Paula Day will provide vocal entertainment on Thursday, October 10, at 7.15pm, in Worsall village hall.
