BRITAIN'S favourite fruit will be celebrated next month at the northern outpost of the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
Apple days have become one of the most popular events in the RHS calendar and provide something for all the family - from specialist advice about all aspects of apple growing, to toffee apples and apple bobbing.
The festival at Harlow Carr Gardens, Harrogate, on October 19 and 20 will offer an opportunity to talk to apple experts on everything from pruning to diseases.
More than 200 varieties of apple will be on display and there will also be a chance to buy apple-based products ranging from beautiful reference books to preserves.
There will be entertainment to suit all ages, with storytelling and a quiz for children, plus apple-related games and activities.
Admission is £4.50 for adults, senior citizens £3.50, children aged 11 to 16 £1, and under-11s free.
