YOUR hospitals need you - that's the message behind a careers day with a difference at two North-East hospitals.
Job shops are being held at the James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, and the Friarage Hospital, North-allerton, a week today.
They are two of hundreds taking place the same day all over England in hospitals and trusts as part of a national NHS recruitment campaign.
Anyone going to the events can find out about the job vacancies and career opportunities available.
Frontline and support staff will be on hand to meet potential candidates.
A spokesman for South Tees Hospitals NHS Trust said a similar event last year resulted in 250 people turning up for careers advice and details of vacancies on Teesside.
Jacquie Keane, the trust's recruitment and retention co-ordinator, said she was looking forward to the event. "It's a great opportunity for us to be able to talk on a one-to-one basis with local people about our recruitment needs as well as what they are looking for in a job or career.
"I hope that everyone who would like to join our team will come along on the day, whatever their qualification, skills or experience to find out more about working in the NHS."
