Yarm have won through to the last 16 of the national Peugeot Inter-Club Challenge following their North-East area play-off success over Shotley and Benfieldside on Sunday at the David Lloyd Teesside Centre.
Linda Hicks, Charles Hingley, Ian Spears and Tracy Spears were the victorious quartet. They will next be in action on Sunday, October 6 against the winners from the Glasgow, Edinburgh and Leeds play-offs.
In the regional final in Thornaby, Linda Hicks and Tracy Spears went down in straight sets, but Hingley and Spears took the men's doubles in three sets after losing the first.
This close encounter then meant a mixed doubles decider was necessary, which the husband and wife team of Ian and Tracy Spears duly managed comfortably.
