Sunday Invitation Ladies League: Northallerton 0 Huntsman Tioxide 3.
In their second game of the season league newcomers Huntsman Tioxide were looking to make amends for the previous week's very close game that ended in a draw. The first half was well contested by both teams with Northallerton giving opportunities to five of their promising juniors who played the full 70 minutes. After several attacks on the Northallerton goal it was only a matter of time before the visitors would break the deadlock. The first goal finally came Tioxide's way when Lisa Morley beat Northallerton's stand in keeper Jacque Griffiths and take them into a one-goal lead at half time.
The second half saw Tioxide hit Northallerton's defence with force and two further goals came from Sara McIntyre and June Shaw sealed the game for Tioxide.
Player of the match for Northallerton Jacque Griffiths, for Huntsman Tioxide Alison Whorlton.
Richmond 1 Thirk 4
Richmond, the second of the two new teams in the league this season, had a very tough game when they played the reigning league champions Thirsk. The visitors started strongly and one touch passes into the Richmond circle led to a three-goal lead by half time with goals from Lynne McKeown, Hannah Rogers and Holly Bainbridge.
The second half commended with Richmond more settled with a long run from Richmond's 25-yard area from Lindsay Dale who passed to Louise Coyne in the Thirsk circle to beat their first team keeper Val Grainger. Richmonf continued to advance but were thwarted by a skilful Thirsk who continued the pressure and scored a fourth goal from Bev Petty to give them the points in the game.
