Champions Kirby Sigston signed off an extremely successful season with an eight wickets victory at Crathorne.

Despite a half-century by Marshall and scores of 25 by Mooney and 22 from Pattison, Crathorne made only 128 for seven as Kendrew returned four for 40 and Clarkson three for 51.

The Kirby Sigston batsmen made light of their task. J Thompson opened with 41, Lowther added 49 and D Thompson carried his bat for 30. Kirby Sigston have won 19, drawn three and lost one of their 23 fixtures.

East Harlsey had 209 runs to spare over Ingleby Greenhow. Hunter struck 105, Willey 50 and Bliss 38 when the home side posted 255 for five before bowling out Ingleby Greenhow for 46. Grainge claimed three wickets for just 21 runs.

Thimbleby had seven wickets in hand of Scruton in their final match. Faced with a target of 130, Thimbleby were indebted to opening batsman Barningham for his 55 and to Daniels who made a useful 27.

Firth gave the Scruton innings a good start scoring 41 and Craig finished undefeated on 51 out of a total of 129 for eight. Thompson with four for 50 and Garbutt whose three wickets were taken at a cost of just 37 runs, shared seven wickets in the Thimbleby attack.

Stafford Place won by six wickets against Swainby. When they made first use of the wicket Swainby were back in the pavilion for 82 and no fewer than 51 of the runs were contributed by Kerr who opened the innings. Smith bowled a good end for Stafford Place capturing five wickets for 17 runs and both Graves and Livingstone took two wickets each. Despite losing four wickets Stafford Place were never seriously in danger as Metcalfe finished unbeaten on 15 and Smith ended undefeated with 20, the pair sharing an unbroken fifth wicket partnership.

Kildale realised 255 for one in their game against Maltby. Thompson top performed with 86, Dan Doughty ended with 44 not out and Blackett was also unbeaten with 64. Covell took three of the five wickets to fall for 88 runs.

Responding Maltby could only make 166 for five which included 38 apiece from Francis and Covell while Hornby top performed adding 68. Dan Doughty had a good day with the ball as well as the bat for Kildale and he claimed three wickets for 58 runs.

The game between Hutton Rudby and Chopgate was conceded by Chopgate.
