AUDITIONS are being held to find a young actor to take to the West End stage in a revealing production.
The producers of the Full Monty musical have enlisted the help of the Stagecoach Theatre Arts, in Darlington, to find a boy to play Nathan - the son of Jerry, the lead character.
All the Stagecoach schools in the North-East will be working together to try to find a new Nathan, who must be 4ft 10in or under.
Any boy, aged ten to 13, can attend the auditions, as long as they are members of Stagecoach or on the waiting list for one of the Stagecoach schools in the region. The best regional young actor will go to London for a final audition to chose the youngster who will join the West End cast in the show about a troupe of amateur strippers.
Trudy Hindmarsh, from Darlington Stagecoach, said: "The Full Monty management has been impressed with our past record in the North-East for discovering previous local talent like Jamie Bell, of Billy Elliott fame, and more recently, Zoe Birkett, of Pop Idol."
The North-East auditions will be held in Darlington. For details, call (01325) 337667.
