Shocks of the day were at City Church Sunderland and Lanchester Chapel.
At City Church Derek O'Moore opened the scoring with Daniel Vuong equalising for Stakeford Methodist Church. Philip Baxter and Steve Walker each scored a pair each to put City Church through to the next round with 5-1 win. Lanchester Chapel and Monkwearrnouth Christians shared the lead three time each with Chris Petts opening the scoring for Chapel. David Kennedy equalising for Monkwearmouth. Andrew Sword put Lanchester back in front with Marc Ward tying the match at half time. Oliver Webster again gave Lanchester the lead, with Ward getting his second. Ward completed his hat trick with George Churchill putting Monkwearmouth a 6-3 lead. A Nick Tinkler hat-trick tied the match at 6-6 Lanchester were award a penalty and Karl Hepplewhite put Lanchester into the next round.
At Metro Church at the goals came in the second half Simon Catavdo put Bethshan Christian Centre ahead with Jon Lumb squaring the match. Mark Langdown putting Bethshan through.
Jesmond Parish Atheninas travelled to Middlesbrough Baptist and took a 2-0 lead at the break from Neil Fitzpatrick and Ken Matthews. Jason Alexander and lan Tew scored a brace each with Mark Davison wrapping up the scoring in a 7-0 win.
Saint John's Snod's Edge second division entertained Airport Church Newcastle first division who have yet to win a match. Matthew Salter steady Airport's nerves with the first goal and own goal from Martin Thomson made it 2-0 with a Gary Beresford goal and a David Alexander penalty going in 4-0 after 45 minutes, Alexander got another penalty but Chris Allinson saved but Andrew Roberts scored with the rebound he also got a second with Ray Wilkinson getting a consolation for Saint John right on the final whistle with a 6-1 final score.
Richard Coxon gave Saint Peter's Low Fell the lead at Heaton Hearts with Bamey Green equalising for the home side. With 20 minutes left Rama K gave Heaton a 2-1 win. Stranton Saints Hartlepool and Heworth Christian Fellowship were all tied 2-2 at half time and 3-3 after 90 minutes. Five minutes into extra time Andrew EsIdon gave Stranton a 4-3 win. Marc Boaggy a pair and a shot from Paul Gough got Stranton goals with Paul Wilkinson (2) and a strike from Paul Thompson for Heworth Christian Fellowship.
