The final Fell Race of the season, the Guisborough Grunt, saw seven Harriers taking part.
There should have been nine but two, Stewart and Neil Mechie, were late getting there, having been held up by a tractor - a bike overtaking them at one point.
The winner of the event was Marco Cara of Middlesbrough in 38.53 minutes. Charles Stead came in second in 38.57, and might have won if he hadn't taken a wrong turn somewhere along the way. Richard Hall was sixth in 40.59, Cameron Choules 18th in 45.01, Alan Wikeley 31st in 51.23, Angela Hayward 35th in 52.14, Maureen Gibbs 53rd in 59.33 and Pat Kirby 54th in 60.05. The ladies were the winning team on the night with 15 points.
