Cockton Hill pulled off a very good home win over Ferryhill in the quarter finals of the League Knock Out Cup when they reached the eight points target with two matches to go.
The Hill edged through to take the darts by the odd point but took the pool at 3-1, whilst the dominoes were shared.
Crook Belle Vue were stretched to the decisive last pool point, the only one they managed to win, when they visited Middlestone Moor. The Crook team, who had already landed the darts title, whitewashed their hosts at darts, but then went down by the odd point at dominoes and dropped the first four pool points before the last ditch recovery.

Willington Ladies League
Despite losing by the odd point at Sunnybrow Brown Trout, Willington Cottles held on to the top spot in the dominoes section by a single point from Hunwick Joiners Arms and Willington Burn, who now share the second place. Willington Black Horse A jumped up to fourth place following their whitewash over the visiting Willington Lion and Unicorn.
The darts section leaders, Willington Club B postponed their match against Willington Black Horse B because of holidays but still hold the top spot by a single point and a match in hand over Willington Club A, who won by the odd point at Willington Burn. Sunnybrow Brown Trout and Willington Lion and Unicorn share third place a further two points behind.
