Troubled china maker Royal Doulton is to shut a factory producing collectables and giftware with the loss of 200 jobs.
The planned closure of the plant at Beswick, near Stoke-on-Trent, is part of a wider company review which has already seen work transferred to Indonesia.
Royal Doulton said the UK manufactured collectable ranges will be replaced by products sourced overseas when the factory closes in June next year.
It has already shed more than 1,000 jobs worldwide as it faced up to pre-tax losses of £22.4m last year. In the past four years the 200-year-old group has also sold off brands such as Royal Crown Derby and Caithness Glass
