TAKING care of tiny tums and teeth was the theme of a special parent-child session held recently at Harry Dack Infant School in Loftus.
The Weaning Party was the first event organised by Sure Start East Cleveland to promote healthy weaning and eating from the earliest age.
It attracted mums with babies as young as nine weeks old.
Sure Start dietician Lyndsey Robinson organised the sessions along with oral health promotion worker Wendy McGee.
Ms Robinson said: "We are looking at three different stages - from nine to 12 weeks, 16 to 20 weeks and over 24 weeks. We've loads of information and practical tips, cookery demonstrations, quizzes, colourful recipe sheets and, of course, the chance to share experiences with other parents."
Sure Start East Cleveland is planning other sessions and can be contacted on (01287) 644200.
