PARENTS and grandparents are being urged to get webwise at a series of courses.
Stockton Borough Council's library staff will be running BBC Webwise courses twice a day for the next two weeks at 10.15am and 2.15pm each weekday.
Anyone who does not know how to use the Internet is being invited to go along to the Open Technology Centre in Stockton Central Library, where staff will be running the sessions.
Those wishing to attend should book in advance.
Free packs are also available from the centre, giving parents useful guidance and safety information if their children use the Internet.

Westbury Street Library, in Thornaby, is challenging children to show parents how to use the Internet.

Thornaby Library is hoping parents will drop in this week to see the computer facilities that have been recently installed. There will also be an opportunity to sign up for a course on how to send text messages. For further information contact (01642) 391610.
Billingham Library is designating two PCs to parents this week.
They will allow users to set up an e-mail account, access a website, and find out just what a search engine is.
