TWO men took to the skies to raise money for a special care baby unit.
Jamie Edgar and Kevin Heath, who work for Cooper Office, in Thornaby, jumped 3,000ft from an aeroplane above Peterlee to raise money for the babycare unit at the University Hospital of North Tees. The men asked customers to sponsor them and raised £1,000.
Mr Heath said: "It never crossed my mind that I'd ever do a parachute jump out of an aeroplane, but when you look at the work and dedication all the staff put into the babycare unit, jumping out of an aeroplane 3,000 feet above ground seemed so straightforward by comparison."
