Andrew Hughff, of Brinkburn Road, Darlington, pleaded not guilty to damaging a security light and to assaulting a police officer on May 28, when he appeared before Darlington magistrates yesterday.
He also denied behaving in a violent manner at Darlington police station on June 9. The case was adjourned until November 5.
CABINET MEETS: A meeting of Sedgefield Borough Council's cabinet will be held tomorrow, at the council offices, Green Lane, Spennymoor, at 10am.
CASE ADJOURNED: The case against Darren Sheen, 23, of Fenby Avenue, Darlington was adjourned until October 15 by Darlington magistrates yesterday. He is charged with driving a BMW 318 on Geneva Road and Yarm Road while disqualified and without insurance.
AUTUMN FAIR: St Paulinus Church, St Helen Auckland, is holding an autumn fair on Saturday, at 1.30pm.
COURT APPEARANCE: Paul Howlett, of Richmond Road, Dalton, was committed for trial to Teesside Crown Court on October 28, charged with assault, by Darlington magistrates yesterday.
DOMINO DRIVE: Kirk Merrington Women's Institute is holding a whist and domino drive in the village hall on Saturday, at 2pm.
COMMUNITY GROUP: The Ferryhill 2000 committee will be meeting at Ferryhill Town Hall tonight, at 6.15pm.
MOCK AUCTION: A mock auction is to be held at St Elizabeth's Church, Newton Aycliffe, on Saturday, from 9.30am to noon.
TRIAL DATE: Amy Louise Kent, 19, of Willow Road, Darlington, will face trial on March 19 at Bishop Auckland Magistrates' Court, accused of stealing drill sharpeners worth £89.98 from the B&Q store in Darlington. She denied the charge when she appeared at Darlington Magistrates' Court yesterday.
COUNTRY NIGHT: Scots singer Bill Alexander entertains at a country and western night in Crook Cricket Club on Saturday, at 8pm. Line dancers are welcome.
COUNCIL COMMITTEES: A meeting of Ferryhill Town Council's civic amenities committee will be held in the town hall at 7pm tonight, followed by a meeting of the recreation committee.
