A Harrogate church marks its centenary year with a visit by the Archbishop of York on Sunday.
The Most Reverend Dr David Hope visits St Wilfrid's on Duchy Road, leading the Eucharist from 10am, assisted by the vicar, Father Mark Sowerby.
Two of the parish's former vicars - Canon Howard Garside and Canon Brian Pearson - will also attend the service, which includes specially commissioned music by leading English composer, Andrew Carter.
Mr Carter will also be present when organist Tim Gray plays the St Wilfrid's Suite for the first time as part of the liturgy.
The first celebration of the Eucharist on the site took place in 1902, when Father William Fowell Swan gathered with parishioners in a temporary church known as the Tim Tabernacle.
The present building, designed by architect Temple Moore, is Harrogate's only Grade I listed building.
Meanwhile, the church also welcomes the return of Bishop of Basingstoke, the Right Reverend Michael Manktelow, on Sunday, October 13.
Also a former vicar, who left in 1978, he will celebrate and preach at the Patronal Festival, which marks St Wilfrid's Sunday, as well as blessing the congregation's pledges of planned giving for the year ahead.
