STUDENTS at Stockton Sixth Form College are aiming high with £3,200 from the National Lottery Awards for All programme.
The money will be used for a basketball programme and will help provide kit, travelling expenses to matches locally and nationally, and for expert coaching provided by Teesside Mohawks.
Julie Ward, Stockton Sixth Form's head of sports, said: "We are absolutely delighted with the chance to train at a high level.
"This is a new activity for the college and we hope it will turn out to be as successful and enjoyable for the students as other clubs and teams have proven to be."
