This week saw a much more restricted fixture list as several teams were taking part in the second round of the Durham County Cup.
Only one game took place in Division One, as The Northern Echo beat Central Club 1-0 - a result which leaves Central still searching for their first point of the season.
Division Two faired slightly better with three games. AFC Orange maintained their fine start to the season as they defeated Copper Beech DCS 4-0 to remain in second place. Steven Sturman opened the scoring for Orange after their defence stood firm against a good start from the visitors and his goal was all that separated the two sides at the break. However, Orange moved up a gear to completely dominate the second-half. Chris Wardell notched the second as he finished off a quick attacking move before Mark Finn produced a fine finish to make the score 3-0. Steven Charlton then wrapped the game up in the final ten minutes after being presented with a one-on-one opportunity.
Elsewhere, Yates' Wine Lodge finally moved off the bottom of the table as they picked up their first victory of the season with a commanding 7-2 victory over Royal British Legion. Paul Spinks top-scored with a hat-trick, whilst Chris Chadwick and Pattinson notched two apiece. Trevor Cooke and Peter Leonard notched the Legion goals as they sink into the bottom three. All Stars beat Canney Hill 6-1 to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
In Division Three, Pepper Draughting Services are still the team to beat after their 9-1 victory against AFC Aruba left them five points clear at the top. FR Aviation took advantage of their game in hand over Hope Inn to move into second place following a far-from impressive 2-0 victory over Newton Cap who remain second-bottom.
Pizza Perfekt's unbeaten home record came to a controversial end as they were toppled 2-1 by high-flying Middleton St George Cricket Club. Perfekt felt doubly aggrieved at having defender Ian Wake sent-off early in the game seeing a goal ruled out. The Cricket Club took the lead early in the second-half through Mark Brischuk before Liam Coleman pulled things level as he headed home a free-kick from Kevin Wakes. However, Shaun Hoy settled the game with a strike from close range as Pizza slump towards the bottom half of the table.
AXA Insurance, meanwhile, picked up their second victory of the season as they took advantage of a poor second half performance from the Royal Oak.
Following a goalless first half, AXA broke the deadlock soon after the break as Dan King supplied the ammunition for the impressive Chris Baines to break the deadlock. AXA soon doubled their advantage a Baines showed great composure to lob the on-rushing Oak keeper as AXA looked like they were going to cruise to victory. However, Oak manager Mike Donnelly - playing as an emergency striker - rolled back the years as he got the Oak back into the game. Despite the constant pressure that followed though, AXA weren't going to let the points slip and they managed to wrap the points up as substitute Alan Percival struck from close range after a quick breakaway to give AXA the 3-1 victory.
In the remaining games in Division Three, Emcor fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Sherwoods and Cricketers beat Smith & Allan 5-2. Dave Elgie (2), Andy Davies, Mark Jenkinson and David Kimmons struck the Cricketers goals and Dave Collinge and Stephen Todd scored for Smith & Allan.
