A LEGAL executive from Stockton helped celebrate the opening of the legal year at Westminster Abbey on Tuesday.
Kath Carrick, who works at Tilly, Bailey and Irvine in the town, was invited to the judges service.
Kath, a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX), joined senior members of the Judiciary and representatives from the legal world for the medieval service. Following that, there was a formal procession to the Palace of Westminster, where the guests attended a reception hosted by the Lord Chancellor, Lord Irvine.
Kath said: "It was a real once in a lifetime experience for me and I was delighted to be taking part in such an important date in the legal calendar. It really was an honour to represent both the firm and ILEX at this historic ceremony."
