MORE people have been arrested as a result of a crackdown on drugs.
Langbaurgh Police's Operation Trident began across east Cleveland last month and there has been a total of 50 arrests, resulting in the detection of more than 300 crimes and the recovery of tens of thousands of pounds worth of stolen property.
Detective Superintendent Tom Stoddard said: "There is no hiding place for criminals in Langbaugh. This is a relentless campaign against them. Our targets are the people who burgle houses, break into cars, steal from shops. These are the people who commit the volume crime that effects all communities in our area. Some of those who we have arrested have admitted up to 40 offences.
"Our raids are being carried out on an almost daily basis and they will continue for some time yet. We know who these people are."
