A FAMILY is appealing to thieves to return a home computer that contains memories of their dead teenage daughter.
The family returned to their home in the Byker area of Newcastle, on Sunday, to find they had been burgled and the PC, containing digital photographs of their daughter, was missing. Anyone with information is asked to contact Newcastle East Police, on 0191-214 6555, extension 62284.
DOUBLE CRASH: A driver was found lying in the middle of the road outside the Three Tuns pub, in Old Durham Road, Sheriff Hill, Gateshead, following a head-on collision on Wednesday. A man and a woman, both in their 40s, were taken by ambulance to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Gateshead.
BABY BOUNCE: A giant bouncy castle at the Galleries shopping centre, in Washington, has raised £450 for Sunderland educational charity Think Twice. Centre manager Les Pickering presented a cheque to the regional executive of the charity, Viv Watts.
World sounds: The DJs of the Pony Club will be playing world music sounds, including funk and reggae, in the Stables Bar of the Beamish Mary Inn, No Place, near Stanley, tonight, from 7.30pm. Admission is free.

PIANO RECITAL: Award-winning pianist Sarah Nicholls is giving a recital in St Cuthbert's Church, North Road, Durham, on Sunday, at 3pm, following a concert by Durham Young Musicians that starts at 1.30pm.
