A BROADCASTER will give a talk about the 100,000-strong Chinese labour force that helped the British Army during the First World War.
Acclaimed author and broadcaster Julian Putkowski will trace the history of the Chinese Labour Corps, which served on the Western Front in France and Belgium, in a talk in Durham, on Saturday October 12, at 2pm.
He will be speaking at the dli, formerly the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery. Tickets cost £3.50, £2.50 and £1.50 for season ticket holders.
