This week saw three teams hit double figures,newcomers Stateside beat the visiting Cooperage,league champions Durham Snooker Club beat the visiting Catholic Club and The Woodman beat their hosts McKenna's all 10-3.
The shock of the week was when newcomers The White Tun won 8-5 on their visit to last years team knockout winners and league runners up Coxhoe Club. The Tun had two wins from David Slater and Lloyd Cochrane,one win each from Paul Davison,Adam Cochrane and Jonny Emerson. Adam Cochrane won the captains point. Coxhoe replied with wins from Gary McLauchlan.Paul Armstrong,Alistair Dixon,George Bernard and Paul Mullen. The Hare & Greyhound took a 6-2 lead on their visit to Daisy Hill,but the homeside fought back to go down by the odd point 7-6. Hare & Greyhound had two wins from Brian Hann and Chris Barron,one win each from David Hann,Ray Miller and Pop Maughan.Daisy Hill had two wins from Johnny Mason and one win each from Paul Campbell,Barry Dowson and Dave Ferguson.Campbell then took the captains. Players with eight ball clearances on their first visit this week were Ian King (Woodman) and Nick Veuger (Snooker Club).
