FAMILIES in Hartlepool are being invited to a series of events to help celebrate National Children's Book Week.
Organised by the Sure Start schemes in the north and south of the town and Hartlepool Borough Council's library service, a number of story, nursery rhyme and song sessions are to be held between Monday and Friday.
Events to be held include;
* Under fives storytime at Owton Manor Library in Wynyard Road, from 1.45pm to 2.15pm, on Monday.
* Fun, song and storytime at the Headland Library, from 10am to 11.30am, on Tuesday.
* A bookstart afternoon for parents and babies to enjoy books and rhyme together at the Sure Start Centre, Northgate, from 1.30pm to 2.30pm, on Wednesday.
* A nursery rhyme storytime at West View Library in Miers Avenue, from 2.30pm, on Thursday.
* Fun, song and storytime at Owton Manor Library in Wynyard Road from 2pm to 3pm, on Friday.
