WORKERS have been given the chance to lock up their bosses and throw away the key until enough bail has been raised to free them.
Managers from Corus, Barclaycard and Somerfield were among 12 good sports who agreed to spend time in a mock jail while bail money was raised for their release to top up the coffers of the Teesside Hospice.
Boro mascot, Rory the Lion, spent time behind bars in the middle of the busy Cleveland Centre shopping mall as Middlesbrough Football Club threw their weight behind the appeal for funds.
The hospice is hoping the event will raise £3,000.
Jan Marron, Hospice fund-raiser, said: "The event was a huge success last year and we raised over £2,600 in bail money.
"We are planning another great day this year and hope to beat last year's total.2
