Newcastle United moved into the top six of the Premiership on Saturday with a battling 2-1 victory over top flight newcomers West Brom.
The Magpies had to come from behind after Igor Balis had given the Baggies a shock 27th minute lead.
Alan Shearer grabbed two goals either side of half-time to hand the Magpies the three points.
It was not without controversy, as Shearer's first stemmed from a controversial free-kick handed to the home side.
Balis was adjudged to have back-passed to keeper Joe Murphy, when all he appeared to do was stick a foot out to meet Nolberto Solano's powerful cross a minute before half-time.
