AN entertainment night saw hundreds of people raise funds for people suffering from life-limiting illnesses.
The event, at Hardwick Hall, near Sedgefield, County Durham, was attended by more than 350 people.
It is thought that about £10,000 was raised thanks to a raffle, auction and donations.
Darlington Mayor, Councillor Doris Jones, said Saturday night's event had attracted people from far and wide.
She said: "The evening was a huge success, and everyone enjoyed themselves.
"There was plenty of dancing and the atmosphere was great, but moreover, plenty of money was raised for a very worthy cause."
