A FRIENDLY, well-trained dog is in need of a loving home.
Ben, a one-year-old cross-breed, is being cared for at the National Animal Sanctuary Support League's refuge in Darlington, until a new home can be found for him.
Pauline Wilson, from National Animal Sanctuary Support League, said: "Ben has been passed from pillar to post and has had a few homes through no fault of his own. He is a lovely dog and someone has obviously spent time with him, because he will sit on command and offer his paw.
"He would make a great pet for anyone who is not out of the house for more than four hours at a time."
Anyone who would like to offer Ben a home can call the league on (01325) 321855 or 07748 268822.
