A HOUSING estate's working forum has assembled an advice day featuring a host of organisations to help residents improve their quality of life.
Agencies covering almost 30 issues will take part in the event, called Sex, Drugs and Rock'n'Roll, an information and advice drop-in day for people on Woodhouse Close Estate, Bishop Auckland.
The event, at Auckland Youth and Community Centre, on Thursday, will cover topics such as education, health, the environment, safety and housing.
Groups attending include the police, Rape Crisis Centre, Bishop Auckland College, the Needle Exchange and a Wear Valley District Council housing officer.
Elsie Race, project centre manager, said: "This is a really positive event for the estate, enabling people to get involved with improving their own and others' quality of life."
Everyone is invited to attend the event, between 2pm and 7pm, or to call the centre on (01388) 604575 for details.
