PEOPLE living in West Cornforth and the surrounding area are being invited to join a healthy lifestyle course.

The event will take place at West Cornforth Community Centre every Tuesday for ten weeks, between 10am and noon, starting on October 15.

The course will include activities and tips on healthier lifestyles, including cooking hints from a free recipe book.

Participants can also take part in gentle exercise, sample free complementary therapy sessions and gain information on how to cope with stress, and back pain and improve foot health.

All those who attend will receive health "passport" for which they can collect stamps to trade for prizes. The first stamp is awarded for attending the first session.

Lisa Nevens, Passport to Health co-ordinator, said: "Since the courses began back in January, they have proved to be successful and are often over-subscribed.

"Anyone living in West Cornforth and the surrounding area is welcome to come along. The courses promise to be fun-filled but also very informative."

To book a place, or for further information, contact Ms Nevens on 0191-301 3810. Places are limited, so early booking is recommended.
