DARLINGTON Society of Arts has opened its first exhibition in its new home.
The group is staging its annual exhibition at the new art gallery in the town hall.
The exhibition of works by local artists runs until October 26, and is open from 9am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 9am to 3.30pm on Saturdays. Admission is free.
The move to the former rates hall followed a campaign by the society, which was concerned that the switch from the art gallery in Crown Street library, would not allow them to hold major art exhibitions.
