New Marske missed the opportunity to narrow the gap at the top by slipping to a 2-0 defeat at North Shields. Anthony Robson set up youngster Paul Blakey for his first senior goal and Robson then created and scored a good goal by chipping and rounding the Marske keeper and tucking the ball away from an acute angle.
Chances were few and far between at Darlington RA who played out a goalless draw at home to Windscale.
Michael Meek grabbed a brace for Harton and Westoe and David Hopper and Scott Baxter also scored as they won by four goals to one at Whitehaven.
