BANK staff will be swapping their office garb for coats and wellies later this month when they set to work on a community clean-up.
Conversion work on the old Barclays bank building in the Swaledale village of Reeth is now well on its way as the building is transformed into a new community office..
Once completed, the office will include a computer suite, council and police office, tourist information point, youth club and a number of low-cost homes.
However, the old orchard also requires attention before it is able to take up its new role as a community play area, with room for educational projects, relaxation and fun.
Barclays staff have pledged to do their bit under the umbrella of the banking giant's SiteSavers scheme, which aims to assist with rejuvenation and regeneration projects around the UK.
A team will arrive with spades and wheelbarrows on Saturday, October 26.
